Wise men put their trust in ideas and not in circumstances. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

27 03 2010

How easy we fall in this hole of diversion called “problems”. From time to time we have to face certain adverse circumstances and if we don´t do it boldly and from a very positive stand point, they will become ugly and dark monsters neebling our soul and dreams.

Let´s focus on the true inner part of our ideas and keep pursuing them. We all are gifted and capable to generate great ideas but as some one told me- not all of us unwrap that gift. LOL. Each person is responsible for her own life creation and ideas. God sets the board on which we are to play, but hey! the move is ONLY ours! We have to keep in mind that every obstacle we have to confront has a blessing hidden within and no one but us is to look for it, find it and take it! Obstacles are beaten with ideas put in action!

Ideas are like awesome treasures waitng to be found. But they can only be found, and let me stress it a little bit more, O-N-L-Y by those who keep their eyes on the goal.

I finish this post today with this enlightning quote from Mary Kay Ash- “A mediocre idea that generates enthusiasm will go further than a great idea that inspires no one.”

Each time we judge someone, we loose the opportunity to love that person.

20 03 2010

How frequently it is our tendency is to judge somebody based on what we perceive through our senses. This happens too often and it is so sad. We lack perspective and wisdom when we do such an awful thing. We forget that each individual is a garden in herself in which different kinds of flowers, colors and fragrances dwell. When we judge another human we limit ourselves to walk happily through that awesome and unique garden.

By judging a friend, a neighbour, a relative or simply someone walking down the street we are truly defining who we really are and what limitations we see in ourselves. Let me explain my self- If I judge another person´s outfit or dress style, I am really saying that I am not satisfied with my OWN clothes, body, or even worse, with my inner self.

Instead of judging another person we should acknowledge that God dwells in our neighbours and remember that other humans are God´s way of telling us there is richness in diversity and uniqueness. There is an awesome voyage of discovery in having new eyes and heart when looking to new souls landscapes.

One handy and convenient action is that when we notice a negative thought about someone we know or have contact with, let it pass like the wind and breath a beautiful idea to show love to that garden of God- i.e. that other human.

Each time I am in a situation in which I can judge my friend or neighbour, I can transform that dark and ugly temptation into a powerful moment to show love to her or him right there and then. It is your brightright to have a direct experience with God and attract good positive things to your own life-garden.

Remember that life shrinks or expands in proportion to one´s love to others.

Kisses and Blessings,

Jamie V.

Worry is like a rocking chair, it will give you something to do, but it won’t get you anywhere. – Unknown…

13 03 2010

More and more people are dying due to heart attacks. There are more families now falling apart due to economic problems than 50 years ago. Tension, stress and hostility within the family are becoming more usual than ever for many different reasons.

And yet it is so sad to acknowledge that being worried for the lack of money is as useless as blunt scissors. Worry is something generated deep in our minds and drives us to desperation. Its birth takes place in the middle of our hearts and dwells there as long as we keep feeding it hence disturbing our composure. It is like a terrible monster living within us and eating our souls to the last corner of our beings.

But it only depend on us to conquer these dark thoughts and come to the light of hope, for hope is the lighthouse that will lead us to safer coasts. It is in our minds and hearts where these battles between worry and peace take place. The mind is the arena where the war to success take place.

But then again it is not really the shortage of money what produces these obnoxiuos feelings of depression and sadness. The origin of our stress and tension must not be looked for outside ourselves but deep in the middle of our hearts. For bankruptcy is temporary but poorness is eternal.

Let us acknowledge we are in the middle of this decisive war to keep walking towards our success and being ourselves light of hope for those around us.

A cynic is a man who knows the price of everything but the value of nothing. Oscar Wilde

10 03 2010

How frequently do we make a complete S-T-O-P and loose our breath at the awesomeness of the blue sky decorated with those fluffy clouds, the beauty of a bird singing its bright wild melody or the incredible laughter of a toddler?

Sad enough I recognize in my case this is not as often as it had to. Most of the precious seconds during the day I do not avow the colossal blessing of such little gifts around me. From that stand point this day´s quote from my friend Oscar Wilde suits me like a long ago worn pair of shoes- I completely know its price but do not value its greatness.

Life is short. Therefor let us live each single day acknowledging the enormous value of those tiny-immense gifts. That modest attitude will enhance our spirits leaving the mediocricy far behind us. Each moment we do not choose in our favor, we simple magnify darkness dwelling deep in our hearts.

Let us fully L-I-V-E this day as a treasure enhancing our cup of L-O-V-E!

Kisses and Blessings for you all,

Jamie V.

“Obstacles are what you see when you take your eyes off your goals.’ Brian Tracy

9 03 2010

The eyes are the windows of the soul. The eyes are the waterfalls that clean the spirit from its impurities. Through the eyes we admire where we dwell and we capture images that will last forever and ever. Our eyes are two lovely gems of light that help us to follow the path. The eyes are the shrine in which our spirit dances fiercely around the fire of images.

I ask myself- how vehement is my determination to supervene the unexpected? How profound is my love to accomplish what I deeply desire? Are my dreams beautiful enough to endure the trip? What made me commence this awesome journey in the first place? Do I still nurture my heart with the music of trust in order to keep walking towards my enchanted palace?

When I fight the visible, Am I aware these are nothing but mills? Or do I instead confuse my soul and see the mills as terrible giants which do not really exist?

My prayer for us all is that our eyes -not only the ones we have to visualize the physical world but those of hope and wisdom- are mighty enough to keep ensuing the stars of pure will and enter one day into the exquisite realm of our dreams.

With love,

Jamie

A true story of female empowerment and courage!

8 03 2010

I deeply appreciate the day I found this video via my Twitter´s friend Adrey Huntley (@AudreyHuntley). In this shocking story I was able to observe the honorable example of a sweet but strong-soul 8 year old girl who defied her culture in order to empower her gender and defend her own integrity, not only as a woman but as a human being.

Abay is a milestone in my life. I truly thank God for letting me know about this courageous little G-I-A-N-T from Africa.

I would deeply appreciate your comments and feedback about this subject.

Blessings and kisses,

Make failure your teacher, not your undertaker. – Zig Ziglar

8 03 2010

I love to see when a baby is learning to walk. The expression in her eyes tells me nothing but the excitement of acknowledging how wonderful this experience is! She is so excited and happy to live the mere process of learning that she cares nothing if she stumbles time after time in trying to achieve what seems impossible. She will stand back on her feet looking for more!

But precisely there dwells the secret- she is NOT aware yet of that dull concept of the ´impossible´. That limit will be set -unfurtunately- later on during her life. She just knows by now she wants to walk and therefor she will endure until she has achieved this awesome goal and BLESSING of walking by herself. Saying ´hello´ to the cold floor will become as natural as drinking her milk at night.

Failure is NOT in her mind. Failure is NOT something she is scared of. Failure is NOT the boogie man hiding somewhere in the dark inside the ´closet´of her heart and soul. Failure can not hold her from being absolutely JOYFUL during this learning time.

She is being an example to me that nothing can be done just from wanting it. And her example is sufficient to teach me one huge lesson- Obstacles are such to me just because I want to consider them like that.

Am I making failure enjoyable? Am I willing to achieve my goals even if I am failing and falling? Is my attitude like that of a tender baby learning to walk not mattering to fall again and again?

Let us ENJOY this life, and embrace ´obstacles´ and ´failures´ as friends and caring mothers in this lovely path called L-I-F-E.

Kisses and huge blessings for all.

The greatest discovery of my generation is that a human being can alter his life by altering his attitudes of mind

7 03 2010

How difficult it is for this generation to keep a winning attitude, trust in others and self confidence! Oh my! Yes, it´s like wanting to harvest strawberries from a Palm tree!!

This generation -and I belong to it- is tough with itself and a negative attitude is a natural element of it. Most people polute their minds listening to or reading bad news every single day.

They have their breakfast cereal and orange juicie paying attention to all the calamities and disgraces taking place around the globe. This kind of concentration focusing in disasters is a dark habit which propels more negative thoughts -and attitudes- day after day.

Instead of developing that dull habit let´s focus in those wonderful things around us, those P-O-W-E-R-F-U-L lovely subtleties that are part of our life´s journey. This energizing habit can be developed by listening closely the singing of the birds, feeling ourselves awesome at the laughter of a toddler or by the simple fact to acknowledge being oneself healthy and having opened our eyes once again in the morning!!

Focus in the spiritual things for those invisble things are much more powerful than those we can see. The invisble produces the visible. Let´s alter our attitudes to become more joyful all year long.

Kisses and blessings,

Jamie

Don’t wish it were easier, wish you were better. -Jim Rohn

7 03 2010

Our tendency as humans is to have everything easy, without any sacrifice at all. The-easier-the-better seems to be our natural motto. Those ancient days in which people had to toil under the sunlight and when conquering the heart of the loved one required much more than a date or having dinner together, seem to be gone long ago.

When facing a challenge, specially a difficult one, our first intention is to leave and quit the pain and sacrifice. It´s too often that we leave before even having sight of the goal. So sad for our society and culture. Sad, because most of the times the greater the effort is needed, the more satisfying the victory will be. Sad because without sacrifice the victory looses much of its glory taste.

That´s the reason I agree with J. Rohn- I wish I was better towards my path to victory.

Kisses and hugs…

“Obsession is the wellspring of genius and madness.” – Michel de Montaigne

6 03 2010

Remember when you couldn´t wait to see your boy friend at the end of the day? When you felt butterflies inside your stomach just to think you were about to see him as soon as classes finished?

And what about when you were waiting the arrival of Santa Claus in Christmas? Coludn´t wait til daybreak to go running down the stairs to find what the gifts were! That was obsession!!! Let me say it once again- O-B-S-E-S-S-I-O-N!!

How obsessive have you been latetly? How butterflied your stomach has recently been when you´re at the edge of an awaited situation? Is your life still full of emotions? How dull has it become? Is it full of colours?

If you want to reach a goal, if you really really want something, then become obsessive with it and R-E-A-C-H it!! Don´t wait because life is truly short and this world belongs to those who really go A-F-T-E-R their dreams!

E-M-P-O-W-E-R the habits of success, focus and visualize success, accomplish your goals one step at a time!!

Blessings of Love!
